"Absolutely brilliant. I was on my own but the organisers introduced me to three other people and we formed a team. We had just the most wonderful afternoon - I don't think I've laughed so much in ages. Then, blow me, we came first as well, and I have three new fabulous friends." Philip Pike

"What a great fun way to learn about Greenwich. The organisation of this event was perfect. We were a group of three, but teamed up with another who had come on his own- and it worked really well because we made new friends in the process. The clues were well thought out and challenging which gave us all a sense of achievement when we found the answers. Well done Hazel for organising such a great event. Definitely recommend this to everyone." Kimbugs

"Had great fun today. Thanks, Hazel!" Mary, Southwark

"Thank you for organising this treasure hunt, Teresa & I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, on a bright sunny cold February day. Good fun" Kay G

"This was, honestly, one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had in a long time. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, having never experienced in a treasure hunt before, but the whole event was so well planned and organised that I definitely intend to sign up for more. The clues were pitched at just the right level, not too obvious and not too difficult. It was also a good excuse to explore the nooks and crannies of a really lovely part of London." Joey Kavanagh

"London Guided Walks has produced a treasure hunt that provides participants with an adventurous way to learn about local history and use their deductive skills. The clues are well thought out and often require teamwork to crack, and the photo challenges certainly encourage creativity. A wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon!" Jay Jones

"Great fun and a lovely way to find out about London's history. One piece of feedback I have is that I think a few extra maps and question sheets would have been useful, as it was a bit hard to organise one sheet between four of us (but perhaps this was entirely our problem; not sure, just thought I'd mention it). Many thanks to all the organisers, and will look forward to future events." Will Voelcker

“Rotherhithe Treasure Hunt” It was a stunning day for a slow walk around Rotherhithe looking for clues. Good atmosphere and even a bit competitive! Lovely way of spending a beautiful afternoon in the company of new friends.

“great experience” We did the Rotherhithe treasure hunt on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We were not familiar with the area and the hunt was a great way to discover it. We met new people, learnt new things and spent an enjoyable and different afternoon. The hunt was very well organized, not too easy, but not too difficult, so we highly recommend it! Thank you Hazel

“Rotherhithe treasure hunt” I had done several of Hazel's entertaining and informative walks in the past so decided to do this treasure hunt. Not exactly searching for treasure but the answers to some 25 cryptic questions that our team had been given together with a map of the area. Its all good fun, gets you thinking and looking around the area and you learn a bit from the clues ending in a pub afterwards for the prize giving. A lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon, get some exercise, meet now people and learn something (Michael Caine was born in Rotherhithe, not a lot of people know that!).

“Great exercise for the brain!”  A fun, social way to explore a new area of London, Hazel's walks are well researched and put together. You meet new people and learn about London's history along the way.

West End's Theatreland Treasure Hunt

What people have said about our Theatreland Treasure Hunt:

Donna Staveley   11-Jul-2016 StarStarStarStarStar Clever and brain-taxing - a brilliantly fun way to spend a couple of hours wandering around the West End, spotting things I've never looked at before.

Martin Arthur   4-Jul-2016 StarStarStarStarWe were a little bit worried that we'd be too stupid to solve any of the clues but our organiser Hazel got us started and had a proper laugh with us and then we were up & away! We really had such a fun afternoon and are now planning to do another one and take a few more friends along!

Christine & Ian Bleathman   28-Jun-2016StarStarStarStarStar Great afternoon! Thank you Angela & team & Hazel for all the work you put into making this such a fun event.

Marie Firestone   27-Jun-2016 StarStarStarStarStar A wonderful afternoon, mentally and physically stimulating, learning about places I've passed many times and never noticed their historical background. Thanks to Hazel for creating the queries and the sun came out

Sue Plummer   27-Jun-2016 StarStarStarStarStar The treasure hunt was great fun and very well organised. After 2hrs of detective work around the streets of theatreland our brains and our feet appreciated a sit down  was provided. Thank you to all the team for organising this event and my team were delighted to come third.

Nick Hunn   27-Jun-2016 StarStarStarStarStar This was an absolutely brilliant way to spend an afternoon. Many thanks to Hazel for devising it. We're already looking forward to the next one.

Emma & Anthony Sach   27-Jun-2016 StarStarStarStarStar Had so much fun, I hope there is another next year!

Sarah & Tony Greaves   26-Jun-2016 StarStarStarStarStar We had great fun learning more about theatre land. Good exercise thanks to the walking about and the testing of our brain power. Thank all who contributed to the planning and delivery of this event, including of course the enthusiastic quiz author Hazel.

Danny Worthington   26-Jun-2016 StarStarStarStarStar Thanks for an enjoyable afternoon. I've never done this sort of treasure hunt before, it's an interesting format which makes answering the clues more tricky than the standard sequential type as you have to decipher which matches to each location. Well done to Hazel for devising it.

"Had a great afternoon out with some wonderful people. Very well organised. Love the photos edits you have posted Hazel." Carl, New Zealand

"Great afternoon! Thanks to my lovely group! Nice to chat in pub afterwards too. Always the last to leave!.." Mary, Southwark

"Fantastic afternoon Hazel and Ian. Can't wait for the next one." Chloe, Barnet

"A great afternoon wandering around the West End looking up at the sky" Paul D, East London

"Brilliantly organised as usual, thanks for a great afternoon. Looking forward to the next one." Lorraine, Bermondsey
