Many businesses did not even consider it a holiday. But by the end of the century it had become the biggest annual celebration and took on the form we recognise today. We will explore some of these well known Christmas traditions which may surprise to know how old they really are!

We explore the streets and landmarks in the City of London which world-famous author Charles Dickens knew so well and who wove into his most famous Ghost Story; A Christmas Carol.
On this 90 min tour explore the area where the infamous characterEbenezer Scrooge lived and worked. Even though the spartan offices of Scrooge and Marley are never precisely located clues are hidden in the text which help us track the business down.
Accompanied by a professional guide, learn about the social and political history of this area as reflected in the most famous ghost story ever written.

Before the Christmas Treasure Hunt:
We meet in Golden Square where we will be registering teams and giving out santa hats and treasure hunt packs. We will be kicking the whole thing off from there.
Nearest Tube: Tottenham Court Road (Central and Northern Lines). Our staff will be wearing high vis pink jackets and a smile - see you there!
To return your answers:
We meet at the designated pub by the allocated time where we will be marking the scores, announcing the winning team and presenting prizes. Full details to be provided in your treasure pack on the day.
