Vaults 2020 Festival

London's biggest, boldest and wildest arts festival is back from Tue 28 Jan - 22 Mar. 100s of events in venues throughout Waterloo. Theatre, comedy, cabaret, immersive experiences, family shows, late night parties, pop-up events, and much more. Join us for eight weeks of creativity, innovation and fun!

VAULT Festival is a multi-arts and entertainment platform. Its primary purpose is to provide a place for live performance of all genres and styles to flourish in a supportive environment; accessible to a multitude of artists and audiences.

VAULT Festival 2020 is hosting a variety of workshops and skills sharing events to help you make the most of your goals. Sharing skills throughout the community helps everyone. Subjects covered include programming secrets and regional touring tips, making more sustainable performances and taking care of your bank balance – and mental health – while you do it, there’s a lot to learn.


Southbank Centre (Hayward Gallery, Purcell Room, Queen Elizabeth Hall)

Southbank Centre is the UK’s largest arts centre and one of the UK's top five visitor attractions, occupying a 17 acre site that sits in the midst of London’s most vibrant cultural quarter on the South Bank of the Thames. 

The site has an extraordinary creative and architectural history stretching back to the 1951 Festival of Britain. Southbank Centre is made up of the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room and Hayward Gallery as well as being home to the National Poetry Library and the Arts Council Collection. It is also home to four Resident Orchestras (London Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, London Sinfonietta and Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment) and four Associate Orchestras (Aurora Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Chineke! Orchestra and National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain).

Around 4,000 people worked at the National Theatre in 2017-18 - from actors, to ushers, to scenic artists. In fact, they aretechnically one of the largest factories in central London, with hundreds of skilled craftspeople, practitioners and artists working together to produce world-class theatre.

It has been beautifully curated so that children, adults, artists, and those new to Van Gogh will be moved and inspired.

Following record-setting attendances at the Beijing, Seoul, and Barcelona exhibits, along with an upcoming Lisbon experience, this is an incredible cultural event not to be missed!

Eight former railway arches have been brought back to life to provide a community of independent restaurants, bars and entertainment spaces that are united by their approach to celebrate the creativity of urban culture.

Adjoining London's longest legal graffiti wall on Leake Street (which has made its name as a democratic cultural venue for street art) Leake Street Arches is an exciting street-culture led destination.

The design shops at Gabriel’s Wharf are exclusively run by small businesses who design and manufacture their own products, the majority of products for sale will have been made by the person selling them to you. If you can’t find exactly what you are looking for it is possible to commission many of the designers directly.
