Flash Briefing
What: Kensington and Chelsea Art Week
Kensington and Chelsea Art Week is now on. There’s a temporary Public Art Trail at landmarks across eight zones of the borough, creating an evolving discovery trail, explored on foot and through digital experiences. Each year, KCAW presents thought-provoking installations and murals, which in the past have included work by Terry O'Neill, Laura Ford, Amanda Parer, James Capper and Richard Woods. This year the trail will include artists: Liz West, Lois O’Hara, Barnaby Barford, Toy Studio, Alex Chinneck, Chris Ruffoni, Found Fiction and Amy Jackson. My favourites for this year are:  ALPHABETTI SPAGHETTI by Alex Chinneck Camille Walala: Les Jumeaux at   White City Chelsea Theatre Light Installation 2-11 Oct | 5-10pm Emilie Fitzgerald Peggy Porschen from 2 Oct Website: https://www.kcaw.co.uk/kcaw20-public-art-trail

British Museum Podcast
When was the last time you spent any decent amount of quality time at the British Museum? I don’t know about you, but I usually have my favourite go-to places, such as the Roman and Anglo Saxon rooms, where I spend most of my time. I have successfully avoided the main permanent collections such as the Egyptology and Ancient Greek collections for many a year, principally because it’s always so crowded, mainly with people who don’t want to be there. But now, it’s different. The British Museum has created a one way route on the ground floor for you to enjoy in a covid secure fashion. Hear my recommendations on what to see on this new route in my latest 20 minute podcast episode released today: The British Museum.
