SKT Gallery is excited to collaborate with Paper Dress Vintage, a multi-functional venue that combines art gallery, boutique store and live music events.
The exhibition offers contemporary artists the opportunity to celebrate their creative drive. It will focus on the necessity of art. For many people, art can be an indispensable lifeline that helps us make it through the day. Art can help us shape our lives and view the world in significant ways
Why “Art is why I wake up in the morning”?
For many people, art can be an indispensable lifeline that helps us make it through the day. Art can help us shape our lives and view the world in significant ways. On 14th June, Singapore’s The Sunday Times published survey results revealing which jobs were considered essential during a pandemic. 71% of the respondents thought that artists were the most non-essential occupation. Since it’s release, the survey has produced passionate debates in the media about the role of the creative industries. We are encouraging our artists to respond to this and treat the theme as broadly and originally as possible.

We will be open everyday but Monday from 11am to 6pm.
Where: “Art is why I wake up in the morning” will be on show at Paper Dress Vintage’s beautiful pop-up gallery space - 352 Mare Street, E8 1HR - providing our artists with fantastic public exposure in a creative, cosmopolitan location.

What: Havering Hoard
Visit the late bronze age Havering Hoard at the Museum of London, Docklands.
In 2018, a late bronze age site, in Wellington, which is in Havering, in East London. It was being excavated by archeologists. And late on a Friday, two years ago, rums objects were uncovered. 453 pieces, including tools, weapons, and other objects were found in a total of four hoards, weighing in total 45 kilograms.
It’s the largest bronze age hoard ever found in London, but it's also the third largest hoard to be found in the entire country.
Nearest station: Canary Wharf or West India Quay rather than Museum of London in the city of London.
