So, you may have noticed that I am not offering many tours in October and November. Well, that's because something unexpectedly wonderful is happening...
I'm getting married!
Who knew my guiding would lead me down this path. I met my future husband several years ago when he came on one of my guided walks in Camden. Like many other people he came back time and time again until he had done all the walks I had offered which finally led to him asking me on a date.
Our first date was a most memorable evening. Why? Not because of the fancy Southwark restaurant or the expensive wine but what happened after... With neither of us wanting the night to end we decided to take a walk. After taking his arm we walked down Blackfriars Road and ran across St George's Circus to read the inscriptions under the iPhone light. My bare heeled legs didn't notice the January evening air as we explored the streets of Elephant and Castle and North Lambeth. There was magic in the air. Hours past and finally Waterloo Station appeared. It was time to go home.
Four years later we are getting married in Greenwich where we now live. Who knows, you may see some new Greenwich walks upon our return from honeymoon! You can see our 2018 future walk dates here.
