Walking round on a Jack the Ripper walk, I am sure that most people would be wondering where all the victims of Jack the Ripper were buried. Even though most of these women were buried in common graves as their families either could not be traced or did not have the money to buy them a plot in a cemetery, it is still possible to find and visit their resting places.
Here is a list of all the graves that have been discovered up until now.
Martha Tabram - unknown but most likely common grave in the City of London Cemetery Manor Park.
Polly Nichols - buried on Thursday 6 September 1888 in City of London Cemetery Manor Park grave no 210752 (edge of memorial gardens).
Annie Chapman - buried on 14 September 1888 in Manor Park Cemetery. Her grave cannot be found. She was buried in a public grave with others. There is, however, a marker locating the approximate site.
Elizabeth Stride - buried on Saturday 6 October 1888 in East London Cemetery, Plaistow Grave no 15509 square 37. Her stone has been replaced.
Catherine Eddowes - buried on Monday 8 October 1888 in City of London Cemetery Grave 49336 square 318 (just yards from Polly).
Mary Kelly - buried in St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cemetery Leyton E11 on Monday 19 November 1888 in Grave No 66 in row 66 plot 10. No member of her family could be traced and her burial was paid for by public subscription.
